About the Football Exchange
The Football Exchange is fantasy football played like a stock market. There is no draft. Hundreds of NFL players are listed at a price, and you build your team by buying the players you think are worth more than they cost.
The idea
- Players are stocks. A player's price follows what he actually scores, and it also rises and falls as managers buy and sell him.
- Points pay dividends. Each week your players pay you cash for the fantasy points they score, in proportion to how much of each one you own.
- You are never stuck. Once your league's market opens, it is open around the clock for the rest of the season. Buy a breakout, sell a bust, rebuild your roster whenever you like.
- The most valuable team wins. At the end of the season, the manager whose players and cash are worth the most wins the league.
Leagues
You play in a league with friends (or strangers). Anyone can start one, invite people by email or with a join code, and choose when it starts: at a particular week, or once enough managers have joined. A league needs at least four managers to begin. Every team in every league starts with the same $130.
There is also a leaderboard that ranks every manager against everyone else playing, whatever league they are in. To make leagues comparable, each team is scored on how much faster it has grown than the rest of its own league.
No real money
Nothing here is real money, and nothing can be bought, won or cashed out. The dollars are the game's scorekeeping.
